On December 4, 2019 (CABNC) – The Rotary Club of New York represented by President Larry Cohen was proud to present a check from our New York Rotary Foundation at the Ronald McDonald House’s 40th anniversary Holiday Open House Celebration. President Larry was introduced by Ruth Browne, President of the Ronald McDonald House, Rick Martin our own member and Past President and of course Director of Development at the House and Steve Bensinger, Chair of the Evening. President Larry presented the check to the RMDH leadership in front of over 400 attendees. Our Rotary name was proudly displayed on a plaque as one of the 40 donors (40 donors for 40 years).

A truly spectacular evening for a wonderful cause and also a celebration of our historic collaboration with the Ronald McDonald House. In attendance from our club were Board Director Alexander Litvinov, Tom McConnon, Dr. George Onourah, Past President Jan Brown and Executive Director Andreas Runggatscher with spouse Monica.

A second part of the evening brought President Larry and Andreas to the Toy Drive Event for Fraternite’s Toy Giving in Spanish Harlem. An event put on jointly by several clubs in the district and Rotaract collected many hundreds of toys. A joyous evening that will find its pinnacle once the kids will hold the collected toys in their arms. Also present from our club at this event were Jahnbaz Almas and Tommy Head.

A busy Rotary evening in a busy season for giving. Truly “Service Above Self”.
