New York (United Nations HDQRS) – The Permanent Representative of Egypt Amr Abdellatif Aboulatta and Ambassador Mona Juul Norway Permanent Representative to the UN championed the official launch of new group of friends of UN and AU Partnership bringing two multilateral capitals in New York and Addis Ababa closer.
Amb. Amr. Abdellatif Aboulatta said, “Cooperation with regional organizations is essential for the work of UN and The African Union is a key partner”. This is happening at a time, the UN Secretary General António Guterres and UN top officials are participating at the 33rd Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union (AU) in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Norway PR Amb. Mona thanked the Arab Republic of Egypt’s Amb. Abdellatif for his cooperation, support and partnership. Amb. Mona expressed her country’s willingness to work with the new group of friends of UN and AU towards realization of its goals.
