HOW A POLICEMAN KILLS HIS WIFE, HIMSELF BECAUSE OF WIFE’S INFIDELITY

Lagos, Nigeria (CABNCTV) – It is no longer news that policemen allegedly carry out extra judicial killings in Nigeria, but the case of a policeman killing another, particularly his wife, over infidelity is perhaps a novelty love story.
It was on Tuesday evening, and the scene was South-West state of Nigeria, precisely in Akungba-Akoko town in Akoko South West Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The busy community was thrown into panic on Tuesday evening as a policeman allegedly shot his wife dead and committed suicide immediately.
CABNC News gathered that the cop simply identified as Tolulope pulled the trigger after a heated argument with his wife over her suspected randy lifestyle with other men who were always calling her on the phone.
It was gathered that it was not the first time such disagreement would ensue between the couple, but Tuesday’s own was a fatal one that neither of them could survive the rage.
Tolulope who was attached to Akungba Police Division could not put up with his wife’s alleged infidelity, and like a movie, he pulled out his gun from it’s shield and shot his wife and then himself, right before the eyes of their helpless two-year-old child and a 3-week-old baby behind.
The Public Relations Officer of Ondo State Police Command, Assistant Superintendent of Police Tee-Leo Ikoro confirmed the incident to newsmen on Thursday.
He said investigation has commenced into the incident to ascertain the remote and immediate causes.
In Nigeria, cases of murder due to infidelity and other mundane issues have been on the rise in recent times. At least more than fifty cases have been reported in the last one year. In 2020 alone, over five cases have so far been reported, in addition to the conviction of a woman, Maryam Sanda who allegedly stabbed her husband Halliru Bello to death after she seeing text messages from another woman in his phone.
