Kwara State Showcases Indigenous Entrepreneurs at the African Fashion Week Nigeria

New York City, NY (CABNCTV) –  First Lady of Kwara State Mrs. Olufolake Abdulrazaq showcases indigenous enterprises at the 6th Edition of the African Fashion Week Nigeria held at Oriental Hotel, Lagos State, Nigeria.

It was a moment of intrigue and sensation at Oriental Hotel, Lekki, Lagos on Saturday 21st of December where Her Excellency Mrs. Olufolake Abdulrazaq; the ever dynamic and fashion inclined first lady of Kwara State showcases the indigenous technology and entrepreneurship crafts of the people of Kwara State at the 6th Edition of the African Fashion Week Nigeria (AFWN).

The African Fashion Week was a brainchild of Princess Ronke Ademuyili. It is a unique platform for young Nigerian fashion entrepreneurs and designers to showcase their creative work of art to the domestic and international community.
His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Oni of Ife and the Grand Patron of AFWN, commended the cultural  and innovative mind of Kwara State First Lady H. E. Mrs. Olufolake Abdulrazaq. She was applauded for showcasing Kwara talents and heritage with her royal appearance of 100% combined cultural regalia and native made jewelry justifying here cultural consciousness.
At the event, Kwara State unveiled eight designers on the runway and two exhibitors. According to Mrs. Olufolake the runway collections was driven by three main objectives which includes; advocacy of First Lady Mrs. Olufolake in Kwara State; stemming gender based violence and Child Abuse; and stepping up awareness for the eradication of drug abuse and modern day slavery.
The Kwara State first lady was presented an award of Excellence at the event by His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Oni of Ife for her leading role as the Matron of the African Fashion Week Nigeria; for the unique Kwara collections at the #2019AFWN; and her unflinching support for the brand since 2016. Other noticeable awardees at the event were the First Lady of Ekiti State Bisi Fayemi honored as Global Ambassador of AFWN and the Ogun State First Lady Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun.

The Kwara State First Lady has proven to be a perfect match of His Excellency Gov. AbdulRahman Abdurrazak of Kwara State in his bide to transform Kwara since he took the mantle of leadership. She has facilitated several humanitarian and human capacity development projects and programmes through her pioneering Ajike Support Center.

Other dignitaries in the entourage of Her Excellency Mrs. Olufolake AbdulRahman includes, Hon Commissioner for Enterprise, Agbaje Wahab Femi, Commissioner for Social Development, Aremu Abosede Deborah, Commissioner for Communications, Murtala Olanrewaju, Commissioner for water resources, Hajiya Fatimah Lawal and host of others.
