UK, Nigeria pleadged on Economic Cooperation

London, October 11, 2019 (CABNC):  Last year former Prime Minister Theresa May and President Buhari agreed to launch a new UK-Nigeria Economic Development Forum so that countries can identify barriers to broadening bilateral trade and work together to resolve them.

The forum has jointly pledged in a communiqué jointly signed by Minister of State for International Trade Conor Burns MP and Nigeria’s Minister of Trade & Investment Adeniyi Adebayo today renewed their commitment to boost bilateral trade and investment UK-Nigeria Economic Development.

The United Kingdom-Nigeria Economic Development Forum

According to the statement signed by the Special Assistant to the Minister on Media, Julius Toba-Jegede,  the two countries promised to work together to promote positive actions in the areas of trade standards, exchange of national goods and services in their respective markets.

Trade between the UK and Nigeria is worth £4.2 billion every year.
